Understanding your sleep graphs#

1. What does a “healthy” sleep graph look like?#

A healthy night of monophasic sleep typically looks like a “rollercoaster” across 7-8 hours.

  • It consists of repeating 90-minute sleep cycles.
  • Cycles start with Deep Sleep (valleys at the base of the graph).
  • Cycles transition into Light Sleep / REM (peaks towards the top).
  • Over the course of the night, deep sleep periods usually get shorter, while REM periods become longer.

2. What do the colored lines on my graph mean?#

  • Red Line: Heart Rate (HR) in beats per minute. Bubbles show your minimum/maximum HR.
  • Violet Line: Heart Rate Variability (HRV), indicating physical recovery.
  • Blue Line: Blood Oxygen (SpO2) measured via a pulse oximeter or supported watch.
  • Turquoise Line: Breath Rate (breaths per minute).
  • Orange Line: Ambient room light measured in LUX.
  • Dashed Vertical Line: Marks the start of your Smart Period window.

3. Why is one of my sensor lines missing?#

Sensor lines (e.g., HR, HRV, or SpO2) only appear on the graph if:

  1. Hardware Connection: A compatible wearable or external device was actively connected during the entire tracking session.
  2. Configuration: The sensor is enabled in Settings ➔ Sleep tracking ➔ Wearables.
  3. Breath Tracking: Sonar or a wearable was active for breath rate tracking. If your hardware is connected but data is missing, check the device’s battery and Bluetooth connection stability.
