Snooze#

We all have those mornings when we just need a few extra minutes in bed. Snoozing lets you temporarily delay your wake-up, but to make sure you don’t accidentally oversleep, we also offer a variety of helpful limits.

Key Settings Explained#

Snooze Limit Caps the number of times you can hit the snooze button.

Snooze After Alarm Time Disables snoozing once your original scheduled alarm time is reached.

Snooze Duration#

Set your go-to snooze length. This is the default time that appears on the large Snooze button when your alarm rings.

If you want more options right on the alarm screen, turn on Changing snooze time below!

Maximum Total Snooze Time#

A great safety net for heavy sleepers! This setting limits the total amount of time you are allowed to snooze. Once you’ve snoozed for this total duration, the Snooze button will disappear, leaving only the Dismiss option. Time to get up!

Snooze Limit#

Rather than limiting the total time, this setting caps the number of times you can hit snooze. Once you’ve used up your allowed snoozes, the green Snooze button goes away, and you must dismiss the alarm.

You can combine both Snooze limit and Maximum total snooze time to keep your morning routine on track! Whichever limit is reached first will automatically disable the Snooze button.

Halve the Snooze#

Want to gently ease yourself awake? When enabled, each consecutive snooze gets cut in half.

Example: If your starting snooze time is 10 minutes, hitting snooze again will give you 5 minutes, then 3 minutes, and so on. It’s a great way to slowly transition out of sleep!

Changing Snooze Time#

Need flexibility in the morning? Enabling this adds a selection of different snooze durations to your alarm screen, right alongside your default time. You can pick exactly how much extra sleep you need in the moment.

If your alarm goes off during the Smart period, one of the available snooze options will dynamically show the exact time remaining until your original scheduled alarm time!

Example: Your alarm is set for 7:00 AM, but Smart Wake Up wakes you at 6:42 AM. On the alarm screen, you will see a quick snooze option for 18 minutes, allowing you to snooze right up until your target 7:00 AM time.

Snooze After Alarm Time#

This setting works hand-in-hand with our Smart Wake Up feature. It completely disables snoozing once your originally scheduled alarm time is reached.

Example: If your alarm is set for 7:00 AM, but Smart Wake Up catches you in light sleep and rings at 6:47 AM, you can only snooze for a total of 13 minutes. Once the clock strikes 7:00 AM, snoozing is disabled!

❓ FAQs & Troubleshooting#

Why can't I see the Snooze button when my alarm rings?
  • Reason: You reached your snooze limit or Maximum total snooze time. Or snoozing is disabled once your scheduled alarm time is reached.
  • 👉 Fix: Check if Snooze limit or Maximum total snooze time is enabled. Once these thresholds are met, the Snooze button is hidden to prevent oversleeping. If you are past your scheduled alarm time and Snooze after alarm time is disabled, snoozing is disabled.
Why does the snooze time on the alarm screen not match my set snooze duration?
  • Reason: You might have customized snooze options for that specific alarm, reached a cap, or have “Halve the Snooze” active.
  • 👉 Fix:
    • Check the individual Alarm-specific settings to ensure it isn’t overriding your global preferences (Settings ➔ Alarms ➔ Snooze).
    • If your remaining allowed total snooze time is shorter than your default snooze duration, the button will adjust to fit only the time you have left.
    • Check if Halve the snooze is enabled. This feature cuts each consecutive snooze duration in half (e.g., 20 min → 10 min → 5 min…).
