What Does Advice Track?#
Advice analyzes key areas of your sleep health, comparing your recent 7-day average against your 60-day baseline to detect meaningful shifts. It also benchmarks your data against health research guidelines and population averages.
| Category | What it Analyzes |
|---|---|
| Duration | • Recent increases or decreases in nightly sleep time. • Healthy ranges based on your age (e.g., 7-9 hrs for adults). • Alignment with your personal daily sleep goal. • Comparison to average sleep duration in your country. |
| Regularity | • Recent shift in bedtime and wake-time consistency. • 60-day average consistency bounds (ideal: within 20 mins to 1 hour). • National benchmark comparisons. |
| Regularity Index | • 5-point changes in bedtime consistency over the last 30 days. • Monthly target scores (Healthy: >80, Attention needed: <60). |
| Deep Sleep % | • Recent shifts in high-restoration deep sleep phases. • Target baseline range (25% to 75% of total sleep). |
| Snoring | • Increases or decreases in snoring duration. • Threshold warnings for snoring exceeding 30 minutes or 60 minutes. • Comparison to national averages. |
| Social Jetlag | • Tracks shift in sleep timing between workdays and weekends (target: <1 hour deviation). |
💡 Tip: Configure your birth year in
Settings→Personalize→Stats→Year of birthto ensure age-specific sleep duration targets are accurate.
Understanding Advice Cards#
Advice feedback is broken down into three simple card types:
- Congrats Celebrates positive sleep developments (e.g., “Your snoring is down by 5 minutes lately” or “Your sleep irregularity is under 20 minutes”).
- Caution Highlights areas that need attention and provides actionable recommendations or links to set up Goals (e.g., “Your duration is down by 30 minutes lately” or “Your snoring is over 50 minutes”).
- Neutral Provides insightful context or observational data that isn’t directly good or bad (e.g., “Others in your country are getting 54 minutes more sleep duration” or patterns linked to custom tags).
