Breath rate detection with oximeter

Supported oximeters

Sleep as Android supports only StressLocator pulse oximeters, which can be bought from Happy Electronics.

How to set up

Simply turn on your StressLocator device (do not pair it with your phone), enable Settings > Wearables > Pulse Oximeter, put the device on your finger and start sleep tracking.

CAUTION: If you have an older oximeter (non BTLE), then you need to pair it with the phone first. No other app has needs to have been used (e.g. StressLocator app).

The blue line shown in graph is SpO2 curve. Whenever a significant dip occurs, it is marked by a CPAP mask symbol. This indicates a breathing disturbance. Every “mask” contributes 1/(sleep length hours) to the RDI.
